Thank you

December 10, 2015

As we near the end of this campaign, we have been amazed by the incredible generosity of our community. With less than 24 hours to go we have successfully raised $12,793 for the NSW Freedom Ride Scholarship Fund.

It is with much gratitude that we announce that Ann Curthoys, one of the students who embarked on the Freedom Ride in 1965, has joined us in our mission to provide more opportunities for students. Ann has made a pledge of $36,000 over three years to support one Aboriginal Arts and Social Sciences student with their living costs for their entire degree.

It’s not too late for you to show your support and make a contribution to help provide more opportunities for students as well as assist with some of the financial burdens that students face.  The more funds we can raise, the more students’ lives we can help to transform by providing financial assistance. Every gift, no matter the size, has the ability to transform a student’s life.

Thank you to the community who have supported the NSW Freedom Ride Scholarship Fund.  Together we have created change, and your generosity is going to have a profound impact on talented Aboriginal students.

$10,000 and counting! Thank you for your support

December 03, 2015

We are delighted to announce that only one day after increasing our goal to $10,000, we have once again surpassed the target!

All of your generous support has brought us to this point and we would like to say a huge thank you to the last three donors who helped us achieve this.

But we’re not stopping here. The more funds we can raise for the NSW Freedom Ride Scholarship Fund, the more students we can assist.

We have eight more days until the end of the campaign – let’s see how much we can raise together as we continue to create change and provide opportunities for Aboriginal students.

We’ve hit $7000 but we're not stopping there!

December 02, 2015

We are eight days into the campaign and thanks to all of our supporters and a very generous donation of $5,000, we have hit our original goal!

In light of this achievement, we have  increased our goal to $10,000.  Together as a community we can give talented Aboriginal students more opportunities to succeed. In 1965 students set out to create change by embarking on the Freedom Ride. 50 years later we continue to honour their courage by striving for more progress.

The NSW Freedom Ride Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to Aboriginal students. The more funds we can raise, the more students we can empower.

Join us. Open more doors and create change.

Together, we are creating change

November 30, 2015

Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far.  In our first week we have had an amazing 95 people donate and have raised $4,074.

To witness our community coming together to create opportunities for students is a wonderful thing, just as those students did on the Freedom Ride 50 years ago. Together we can make a huge difference.

A gift towards the NSW Freedom Ride Scholarship Fund will open doors for future Aboriginal  students, allowing them to thrive at Sydney  where their innovative ideas, critical thinking and leadership can shine.  The impact these opportunities have on students is profound. You are helping bright minds realise their full potential.

We have less than two weeks to reach our goal of $7000.  Please join us in creating change and opportunities for Aboriginal students.
