The Indigenous Nationals Tertiary Education Games (Indigenous Nationals) is a week-long multi-sport competition for Indigenous student-athletes. The annual event aims to bring together student-athletes from universities across Australia, this year running from 23 – 27 June 2019.
The University of Sydney and Mana Yura Student Support Services are sending a student team to compete for the first time in two years, with the team competing in all four sports - Touch football, Basketball, Netball and Volleyball.
This year’s competition is being hosted by The University of Western Australia and our team of 12 are raising funds to travel and compete in Perth towards the end of June. In addition, the team is also raising funds to create a custom designed uniform that celebrates the cultural identity of our students and their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
Pledge your support today to help our student team get to Perth this June and compete at the 2019 Indigenous Nationals!
