Save Sight Institute City2Surf 2019
The Save Sight Institute leads the way in finding innovative new ways to preserve and restore vision lost to all eye diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal dystrophies, uveitis and inflammatory conditions.
Who we are and what we are about
Save Sight Institute was established back in 1985. Thirty years later we have conducted research and published groundbreaking articles across all aspects of eye disorders and blindness; treated thousands of patients with eye related conditions; and educated and trained the researchers and ophthalmologists of tomorrow.
Our priorities are research, patient care and teaching.
What are we doing
The people who work and study at Save Sight really believe in the work that they do every day. So much so, that some of us are taking part in the 2019 City2Surf, walking or running 14km, in the hope that much needed funds can be raised to support our research and community engagement activities.
Your gift matters
You may not know this, but Save Sight, a centre of the University of Sydney, is funded only by grants, donations and bequests. That’s why you are so important! Without you we could not continue to do the work we love to do, benefiting the local, national and global community.
All donations $2 and above are tax deductible!
