Student Support Fund
Alleviating financial hardship
Have you or someone you’ve known ever benefited from financial assistance at University?
Along with the exciting opportunities that come from having a university education, there can also be a range of challenges associated with studying, including financial hardship. The University’s Student Support Fund helps to alleviate that stress, allowing students to focus on their studies without the pressure of financial uncertainty.
Helping students thrive
The fund helps with a wide range of issues students may face during their academic career, for example the cost of textbooks, bills, or travel expenses, and enables students to recover from unexpected circumstances and emergencies.
A tradition of support
The University of Sydney has a long and proud tradition of supporting students and we love to share their stories of success. Our graduates are a living testament to the power of education to shape lives for the better. Many alumni have expressed gratitude for the scholarships they received, which made their studies possible.
For Emeritus Professor Graeme Clark AC, inventor of the bionic ear, his time at the University was instrumental to his career success. He recalls the ‘breakthrough moment’ during his PhD, which ultimately paved the way for one of the most significant medical inventions of our age.
How you can help
In order to offer these services to students, we depend on the support of our community. Help us replenish the Student Support Fund to enable support to as many students as possible. Please donate today so that we can reach our target of $5,000.
We want to inspire the next generation of school leavers to aim high and fulfil their potential. Join the movement! Let’s open the door for talented students and give them the opportunity to thrive at the University of Sydney. Thank you for your support.
You can also help by sharing our message with your networks both on and offline so that we can fully assist those in greatest need.
