Support Indigenous Scholarships at the University of Sydney
At the University of Sydney, we believe in diversity at every level of study, work and research. It is a core part of our purpose and fundamental to what makes us a uniquely Australian university.
We're proud of the fact that in 1966, Charles Perkins was the first Aboriginal man to graduate from tertiary education in Australia here at the University of Sydney.
More recently between 2011 and 2015:
- The University of Sydney saw a 20 percent increase in the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- The University of Sydney have led the Group of Eight universities in the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduates.
In honour of Kayla's 80th birthday, make a donation to Indigenous Scholarships Fund. Your support will help ensure more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people receive every opportunity to succeed at university, liberating these students from financial pressures and allowing them to reach their full potential.
