Verticulture - A better future for all

The Verticulture team are a passionate group of undergraduate students working on a project that we believe will make a difference in addressing one of the biggest issues with urban cityscapes: a lack of fresh, quality produce. Through our vertical farming systems our goal is to grow more efficient and environmentally friendly fruit and vegetables at a competitive rate and make inner city food deserts a thing of the past.


We are trying give everyone the opportunity to have fresh, environmentally friendly produce that are grown in nearby areas. In our embryonic phase we have the prototypes to begin our mission, but we can’t move forward without financial assistance to execute our vision. Our vertical farming system will be able to grow fresh produce on a large scale, but our compact models will allow people to grow their food personally and have further control over their produce.


VertiCulture’s goal is to produce a marketable line of both personal and industrial scale hydroponic systems capable of operating as functional ecosystems and able to grow fresh vegetables without producing large quantities of emissions. This effectively means we will be able to grow fresh produce without harmful pesticides and herbicides at a vastly more efficient rate than current agricultural standards.

Structural Materials

This will supply VertiCulture with essential components such as structural materials e.g. steel, human consumption grade plastics, seedbags or specialised LED lights for the project


Pump Systems

Will enable us to purchase the quality pumping systems required or fully automate the system with water level/pressure sensors, ph. measurers, and automatic plant maintenance and harvesting technology



This will help us to complete our 3rd/4th stage prototypes, before finally enabling the creation of essential distributional products



Would get our prototypes to maximum capacity, with high water, electricity and space efficiency while also being able to create 4 fully functional, human consumption grade systems
